A terrific home studio project is completed

I’ve built a couple of home studios in the past, and to say the least they are always interesting and challenging projects.  I get a lot of questions about them.  Unfortunately, what I haven’t done well is carefully capture the planning and building processes for others to check out online.

Enter voiceover talent Paul Strikwerda – the “Nethervoice.”  Paul just completed his excellent studio project, and he did a wonderful job blogging it up.  Congratulations, Paul!
  • Hi John,

Thanks for putting the spotlight on my booth-building blog series, John. Constructing a “whisper room” type of space is part art, part science. What works in one location might not work somewhere else.

I was amazed at the wealth of information that’s already out there, and by the support I got from colleagues and voice-over friends.

Last but not least, I also surprised myself by coming in under my $2000 budget!

Right now I have to make sure to “come up to the surface” every once in a while, because I spend way too much time in my new underground studio.

It’s time to start thinking outside of the box again!

    Paul Strikwerda
